About Us
Pearl Essence Africa is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting technology education and career opportunities for girls. We are passionate about proffering long lasting solutions to the SDGs and believe that by encouraging girls to pursue careers in technology we will ensure equal opportunity for all irrespective of gender on the African continent. We are equipping the African girl child with adequate hands-on training required to help bridge the gender gap in the tech industry, by harnessing the power of technology, create innovative solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing our society today. and also create a more diverse and equitable future.

Ignite the spark of curiosity in emerging technology and innovation in young girls from marginalized backgrounds and communities creating the desire to be and do more in them.

Bridge the digital divide and empower the next generation of female technology leaders by providing access to education and resources in the field of technology.

Be a guiding light for these young girls, offering mentorship, hands-on workshops, and immersive learning experiences that will help them soar to new and sustainable heights in the tech industry.

Be the catalyst promoting diversity and inclusion, break down barriers and pave the way for a brighter and more equitable future in technology for all.
We are an organization that provides a variety of programs and resources for girls, including mentorship, workshops, and educational resources. We work with partners from the tech industry, schools, and other nonprofits to provide girls with hands-on experience and exposure to different technology fields. We also advocate for policy changes and initiatives to increase the representation of girls and women in technology, and to create a more inclusive culture in the tech industry.
We are committed to creating a future where girls have equal opportunities to succeed in technology
and to play a leading role in shaping our digital world with specific programs designed to empower girls to develop their skills, build their confidence, and pursue their passions in technology.
Pearl Essence Africa has organized training summits physically and online for young girls across Africa, receiving applications across East and West African with participants such as from, Rwanda, Burundi, Nigeria, Ghana and also African girls in the diaspora such as in the United Kingdom and Canada, in participation. Since inception in 2017, Pearl Essence Africa has organized projects for equipping young girls in the areas of Leadership, Goal Setting, Emerging Technology & Innovation, Self-confidence and Esteem, Personal Development and Career insights through their mentorship program.
In December 2020, Tech for Girls Africa Project was set up in partnership with The Federal Republic of Rwanda Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, We held ICT training program for girl participants despite the pandemic. The project has continued since and has led to the incorporation of Pearl Essence Africa in the Federal Republic of Rwanda with a licensed operational certificate.
